Data Examples
Intracellular Staining by Flow Cytometry | Detection of Cytokeratin 8 in HT?29 Human Cell Line by Flow Cytometry. Human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) (upper panel, negative control) and HT?29 human colon adenocarcinoma cell line (lower panel, positive control) were stained with Mouse Anti-Human Cytokeratin 8 Alexa Fluor? 488?conjugated Monoclonal Antibody (Catalog # IC3165G, filled histograms) or isotype control antibody (Catalog # , open histograms). To facilitate intracellular staining, cells were fixed with Flow Cytometry Fixation Buffer (Catalog # ) and permeabilized with Flow Cytometry Permeabilization/Wash Buffer I (Catalog # ). Background: Cytokeratin 8
Cytokeratin 8 is one of the first cytokeratins expressed in the embryo and exists in adult tissues as a heterodimer with Cytokeratin 18. Cytokeratin 8 is primarily found in the non-squamous epithelia and is expressed in the majority of adenocarcinomas and ductal carcinomas.
